Bring your HVAC expertise into the classroom and help prepare the next generation of skilled HVAC professionals. As an Assistant Professor - HVAC, you’ll put your industry knowledge to work through hands-on lecture and laboratory instruction, student advising, and practical learning experiences that connect classroom concepts to the field. You’ll also help maintain the equipment and laboratory environment students rely on to develop their skills.

You’ll teach assigned HVAC courses using in-person, online, and interactive delivery methods, drawing on your industry experience to create relevant and engaging learning experiences. You’ll select learning resources, develop course materials and syllabi, assess student learning, and use results to strengthen instruction. You’ll stay current with HVAC technology, equipment, software, and industry practices while maintaining the required industry certification. The role also provides opportunities to work with industry advisory committees, contribute to curriculum and program development, support student recruitment, and build relationships with employers and community partners. You may mentor adjunct faculty, participate in college committees and professional development, and teach evenings or weekends as needed.

We’re looking for an experienced HVAC professional who brings strong technical knowledge and a passion for sharing that expertise with others. The ideal candidate can translate real-world experience into effective classroom and laboratory instruction, communicate clearly with students and colleagues, and use technology to support learning. A positive, helpful approach and commitment to student success are essential.
