You’ll help students build practical skills in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration by demonstrating equipment installation and operation, reinforcing classroom instruction, and guiding students through troubleshooting techniques used in the industry. You’ll also help prepare instructional materials, maintain equipment and tools, support lab safety, and ensure students have the resources and hands-on experiences they need to succeed.

Beyond instruction, you’ll coordinate lab schedules and resources, collaborate with faculty and other campus programs, and help facilitate shared lab activities between NIC’s Workforce Training Center, Kootenai Technical Education Campus, and credit programs. You’ll also engage with industry partners, vendors, and external groups while supporting the day-to-day operations of the lab.

We’re looking for someone with strong HVAC/R industry knowledge, a commitment to safety, and the ability to communicate technical concepts in ways that support student learning.
