Lead a respected Medical Laboratory Technology program while preparing the next generation of laboratory professionals. As the Assistant Professor/Program Director - MLT, you’ll provide academic and program leadership for the Idaho Consortium for Medical Laboratory Technology Education (ICMLTE), ensuring students receive high-quality education and clinical experiences while the program maintains its NAACLS accreditation.
You’ll oversee the day-to-day administration and coordination of the program, including accreditation compliance, reports, site visits, program evaluation, curriculum review, student learning assessment, and program planning. You’ll build and maintain relationships with clinical laboratories and healthcare organizations, coordinate clinical affiliation agreements and student onboarding requirements, and work with consortium institutions and clinical partners to support strong learning experiences. You’ll lead advisory and executive committee meetings, contribute to budget planning, support faculty development, coordinate adjunct faculty needs, and participate in student recruitment and admissions activities. You’ll also teach assigned Medical Laboratory Technology courses, provide academic advising and laboratory supervision, and use a variety of instructional methods and technologies.
We’re looking for a Medical Laboratory Science professional with knowledge of education, program administration, and NAACLS accreditation requirements. The ideal candidate can lead across multiple institutions and build effective relationships with faculty, students, clinical partners, and other stakeholders. Strong communication, curriculum design and evaluation, training and presentation skills, and proficiency with instructional technology are essential. Minimum Qualifications
• Master’s degree required.
• A minimum of three years full-time equivalent experience in medical laboratory science education, including teaching courses, conducting and supervising clinical laboratory learning experiences, evaluating student achievement, providing input into curriculum development, policy and procedure formulation and evaluation of program effectiveness required.
Required License and/or Certifications:
• Must hold a Medical Laboratory Scientist credential for generalist laboratory professionals from the ASCP Board of Certification.
• Eligible to obtain an Idaho post-secondary Career Technical Education (CTE) certificate.
• Must have valid driver's license.
North Idaho College does not have a vaccine requirement. However, many of our nursing and health professions, are subject to federal or local hospital vaccine requirements.
Starting pay range: $89,625 - $109,609
This position is 123.4% FTE

Work Site Location: Coeur d' Alene Campus
Work Schedule: This tenure track position is 123.4% FTE with pay and benefits continuing through the time off in late summer.
